We are delighted to invite you to the workshop entitled "Advancing Laboratory Animal Science: The Benefits of Home Cage Monitoring and Digital Ventilated Cages (DVC®)." This workshop aims to explore the application of home cage monitoring and DVC® technology in the field of laboratory animal science.

In this seminar, we will delve into the world of home cage monitoring and digital ventilated cages (DVC®). The first session will introduce the concept of home cage monitoring, offering an overview of the DVC® solution and its underlying technology. We will explore how this innovative approach can revolutionize laboratory animal science.
The second session will focus on the significant cost reductions associated with DVC®. Through AI-based learning processes, the optimal time for changing cages can be recommended based on moisture levels, resulting in more efficient resource allocation.
Our attention will then turn to the welfare benefits of adopting DVC® technology in the third session. By automating the evaluation of hyper-hypoactivity and spatial distribution deviations from baseline, the AI-powered system can identify potential welfare issues, such as fighting episodes, stereotypical behavior, and pup delivery, leading to improved animal well-being.
Lastly, in the fourth session, we will explore digital biomarkers that can provide valuable insights into disease progression in neurodegenerative mice models. Sleep pattern disruption and circadian rhythm disturbances are among the various digital biomarkers that will be discussed.
